Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request under its own systems. We do not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us as needed to answer it. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical information when a visitor loads a page, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure site use, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic into broader reports. A browser can reject cookies, though doing so may change how parts of the website function.

No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general directions to Pickens County courts, clerks, and Alabama search systems. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there falls under the provider’s privacy policy rather than ours. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure rules, so review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, Alabama services, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination’s privacy terms apply. Read them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs within the provider’s systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices protect the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee complete security, however, and we cannot promise that an unauthorized event will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence and applicable Alabama or federal law. The Alabama Open Records Act, Alabama Code section 36-12-40, concerns public records and does not turn our private visitor data into a court record. Alabama Court-Record Rule 401 separately governs access to electronic court dockets. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
